My name is Ewen Lewis, I’m a qualified Level 2 British Cycling Coach and a Level 1 British Triathlon Coach.

I’ve also completed many long distance endurance events since 2012 including Ironman (2013,14,16,17) and London 2 Edinburgh (2013) and Lands End to John O’Groats (2017). Along the way I’ve made almost every mistake and learned many things which hopefully I can pass on to help someone else.

I have a passionate for cycling and most of all helping people to improve and develop whether this is for fitness/lifestyle goals or as part of undertaking events or challenges.

I’m always looking to expand my knowledge and actively read forums, books and podcasts to further my subject matter knowledge and I have a particular keen interest in the science aspects of training. As part of my continued developed I will be attending the Training Peaks Endurance Summit in Manchester in November 2018.

My background isn’t that of a usual coach. I was heavily overweight topping out at 24st 9lbs (156kg) until 2010 so I have a good understanding of weight-loss and the challenges many of us face around making sustainable lifestyle changes.

Although I’m a very big advocate of structured training I still deep down believe if you enjoy what you’re doing that is half the effort and nothing beats a sunny day out on the bike with friends.
