Randonneur round the year award

A validated Brevet de Randonneur (BR) or Brevet de Randonneur Mondiaux (BRM) completed in each of any 12 consecutive calendar months.

Ultra (x10) RRtY

Ten Randonnees Round the Year, which may be consecutive, simultaneous or separated by a ‘gap month’ or several. You can’t count the same ride twice!

Brevet Series Awards

Brevet 1,000

The Brevet 1,000 award was introduced by AUK in 1996. It is either: 5 x 200 km events ridden in one Randonneur year (longer events cannot be included) or: 10 x 100 km events ridden over any period of time. You can count 150s with the 100s – but not mix BR and BP.

Brevet 5,000

The B5000 requires a Randonnée of 1200 km or more, a Super Randonneur series, 1000 km, 24 hour team ride, plus other events to a total of 5000 km, all BR or BRM, all ridden within a 4 year period.

Brevet 25,000

The B25000 award requires a Paris-Brest-Paris or London-Edinburgh-London, another event of 1300 km or over, a 1000 km, a 24 hour team ride, three Super-Randonneur series, plus any BR or BRM events to a total of 25,000 km, all ridden within a 6 year period. Events prior to 1991 are not accepted.

Randonneur Series Awards

Randonneur 1,000

The Randonneur 1,000 award was introduced by AUK in 1996 and consists of the series 100 km BP,  200 km BR(M), 300 km BR(M) plus another  400 km worth of events (eg a 400 or a 100 + 300 km or 2 x 200 km etc), all completed in the same Randonneur year. You can substitute longer distances for shorter, but only rides up to and including 400km may be used and you must ride at least four events.

The Super Randonneur

The Super Randonneur award was established by ACP in 1977 and is the ‘gold standard’ award. It consists of the BR(M) series: 200 km, 300 km, 400 km, 600 km, all completed in the same Randonneur year. A longer distance can be substituted for a shorter. Like Randonneur, the title Super Randonneur is a once and for always award.

Randonneur 2,500

Add a 1000 km ride to your Super Randonneur series and you’ll be a Randonneur 2500.
Or to put it another way, ride a 200, 300, 400, 600 and 1,000 km all in 1 season

Randonneur 5,000

The Randonneur 5,000 award was created in 1998 and is obtained by riding BR or BRM events totalling 5,000 km in a Randonneur year. You may count the same rides towards your Super Randonneur.

Randonneur 10,000

The Randonneur 10,000 award was created in 1998 and is obtained by riding BR or BRM events totalling 10,000 km in a Randonneur year.
You may count the same rides towards your Super Randonneur but your R10000 supersedes your R5000.

London-Edinburgh-London

LEL runs every four years – the next event is in 2025. From small beginnings the ride has grown into a major event with a total of 1500 riders from more than 50 countries

Paris-Brest-Paris

PBP is run by Audax Club Parisien and is the world’s largest and most prestigious ride, with over 5000 riders in the last event.

Berlin-Munich-Berlin Super Brevet

It is topographically varied and offers plenty of altitude (approximately 12,000 meters). Many hotspots lie directly along the way, beautiful scenery waiting to be discovered.

Audax Lejog

A 1400 km Audax, self-supported long-distance cycling event from coast to coast between the far south-western edge to the far north-eastern corner of the UK, at randonneur standard.

Easter Fleches to York (from anywhere)

The Easter and Summer Arrows to York are team events, based on the format created by Audax Club Parisien for the Flèche Vélocio, in which teams head to the traditional Easter cycling rally in Provence (France).

The Easter Arrow is validated by Audax Club Parisien as the UK’s equivalent to the Flèche Vélocio. It may be substituted for the Flèche Velocio when claiming your Randonneur 5000 and 10000 awards from ACP.

The Summer Arrow is run to the same rules but is only validated by Audax UK. Either event may be used towards the AUK Brevet 5000 and other AUK awards
