Each year they have three routes depending upon how much you want to push yourself, Now into its TWELETH year, Le Tour de Farcycles (TdF) 2025 is set for July 2025. Wheelers Reports

Jon’s Group

A great day out for the Wheelers that took part in the annual Le Tour de Farcycles. The “Alpinists” minus Steve (running a Rouleur Ride) & Matt (on the 80 mile ride), we met Tanara in Shrivenham & then cycled to the start. Matt made his own way as he was tackling the 80 miler – chapeau Matt.

We met up with the Novas ladies for a group photo at the start & then set off. Pace was good until Darren punctured just before the feed stop but it didn’t take long before we were on our way. After a few cakes & bottle refills we were on the homeward stretch & it didn’t feel too long until we were back at Farcycles HQ tucking into pasta. We decided to have a quick debrief at the Prince of Wales in Shrivenham (where we met up with Matt) before departing for home. A great day in the saddle 🚴🏻‍♂️👍🏻

Nova Group (The Flamingo Quartet)

The Flamingo Quartet (those who know, know) of Wheeler ladies consisting of Keri, Laura, Debbie and Bev, took on the 50mile Tour De Farcycles sportive. Despite the lack of hot caffinated drinks at the start spirits were high. Good riding saw us all complete the ride (despite the hills being towards the end) gain a medal and munch a plate of pasta 😋. Really well organised local sportive

Matt’s Group

Great day on the bike in the Le Tour Farcycles! Really thankful for the company of Jonathan Rogers! We managed to keep a good pace over 80 miles and 18 climbs including Col du Withington Hill! Delighted to be greeted by Paul at the finish and a heap of pasta! Managed to rendezvous with the 50 miler Alps crew Terry, Jon, Darren, Ryan and Buss-ie at the PoW in Shrivenham for a pint! Was able to get home in time to rendezvous with the family for a cracking time with Wallace & Gromit at the Deanery!
