Saturday was the last Club Day for 2025, organised by Jon at the “Unhehenged Cafe” in Avebury, the weather looked ominous for the latter part of the morning but over 30 riders turned up, including the group of two, Graeme & Sue.
Most groups didn’t linger for long as the weather was getting worse as the morning went on, Steve Carter’s group were the last to arrive due to the mysterious puncture on Mr Buss’s bike.

“An intrepid group of 3 Novas made the pilgrimage to Unhenged to meet up for Club Day. After a shaky start of me realising that I couldn’t download the map we enjoyed a lovely if cool morning. Unfortunately it became a drama of heavy rain, hailstones and wind up the top of Hackpen Hill but @Linda Robbins and @Nic Firth kept good spirits. Wishing Linda all the best for her Amsterdam trip ( and all the other ladies too). Next time, to please Nic, we’ll do the route the other way round as he wants to go up Hackpen and Broadtown. Thanks for a great ride. See you soon! Keri

A varied ride today, weather was cold then hot, jacket on and off! Unhenged worked well, thank you to all the staff. Return leg was reminiscent of the Alps, Hackpen hill was sleet, high winds and very cold but down the hill into Broad Town people were in shorts and T shirts. A memorable day for the 6 of us. How many people does it take to Change a Puncture?
Well, according to the mixed Tempo/Grupetto group at least three, but it looks like Mr Buss put on a great show with the audience looking on, and after all that fuss no puncture was found, the saga continues?

Thanks Jon and the Unhenged Cafe for a great day.
