The first Club Day of 2026 saw over 60 riders turn up to Oaksey Golf Club, it was great to see so many people you don’t often see each week or since the last Club Day in December.

The day started with the chance of rain and a few rides were delayed but once on the road the weather changed for the better with the sun coming out just in time, unfortunately a few riders got caught in the heavy downpour of hailstones on the way back.

The food was pre-ordered and I think everyone was pleased by the standard and the service but please let Mandy know if you had any problems.

Back at the club, Mandy had set out survey sheets to gather ideas for future events. It’ll be interesting to see the results—perhaps mountain climbing or horse riding next! If you’d like to suggest or discuss any ideas, you can email her at SWCCsocial@swindonwheelers.org
