Christmas Club Ride – Oaksey Golf Club 2025

A fantastic day on a cold and frosty morning for the last Club Ride of the year to Oaksey Golf Club with over 50 riders joining the group rides or to meet us out there.

This was the first time the club has visited the golf club and we were not disappointed, all food was pre-ordered and a few that hadn’t pre-ordered didn’t have a problem getting fed, there was ample cake for those that declined the tempting offer of bacon, sausage or egg bap, the staff were brilliant and we had bottomless tea and coffee, something that hasn’t happened since the old Chedworth days.

It was nice to see Santa Howie with his Elf (Darren) at the Christmas Tree, not sure if they were looking for their presents (sorry boys, you have been naughty again this year), also it looks like the Dave Albans’s Nova ride was the only ones to have snow, (not sure where they went) and you can always rely on Ian making his usual famous effort for Christmas, music, lights, decorations and a Santa hat.

I believe all the rides went well with the exception of one group having to re-route due to a flooded road.

A special thank you for Jon, (who couldn’t be with us today due to family commitments) well done for organising everything for this last club ride of 2025 and thank you all those that turned up today.
