One of the Hardest 5 Kilometres Rides of the Year!

Members of the Wheelers helped to move the adapted bikes for the “Swindon Wheels For All” from the Athletics track alongside the County Ground the home of Swindon Town Football Club to its new home in Moredon, a five kilometre ride from the County Ground, this ride, quoted by many “It was one of the hardest 5 kilometres we have done.”

Well done all those who helped and a special thanks to Nigel Davies for arranging transport back and Becky Cox from British Cycling, who arranged it all, it must have been an amazing sight for the public seeing all the crazy cyclists on the different types of bikes.

Central Swindon North Parish Council have done a video, which can be seen at their “Facebook Page Link”

Wheels for All is a national accessible cycling charity which promotes inclusive cycling through a range of successful community engagement programmes that give people the opportunity to cycle on a regular basis; through help, support and guidance, they help a range of people including our own Richard Glanville, who suffered a stroke a few years ago and many other stroke victims.
